In Catia V5 the lighting is a magical tool that a lot of Class A people used. A lot. For taking a deep look at their newly designed parts. In 3DEXPERIENCE the lighting panel was shifted in to the Ambiance and Camera.

As inventor user i must to say nx is very hard for basic command, ist an update in 2024 version 😮😮😮😮 Nx has good feature but that is very complicated and Time-consuming

NX is buggy here, I repeated this with and and without persistent relations, maybe I should just post youtube videos of this buggy trash showing this not working.
This tool is not that new. Its going on 4 years now.
it's all well and good with a single line, but in my complex sketches NX will just delete persistent relations on a whim. So yeah, this tool is buggy and sucks@@kopeezie
Hi, this worked fine for me, however now for some reason when I'm in the 3D curve window i cannot freely place control points anymore. It only allows me to place the points on fixed geometry Any idea why? Help is highly appreciated!

Slowly but surely adding the very basic features Catia have had for decades, Catia Join function has check tangency, boundary, and the selection propagation, interesting they are unashamedly adding the features Catia users who are now using NX are missing
Some day I hope Dassault adds the things NX has that Catia doesn't as well.

Looks like many great modeling improvements in this release. Shame that the rest of the UX has been ruined over the years, sketcher issues are still blatantly ignored, and the performance hasn't been great lately

It is an analysis setting that you have to turn off. I will make a video soon.

No, it's parametric.
Where are the facet settings. Previously it was present as a command.
Still no way to select/create a plane on the go while making a sketch ever since it was removed? And still no in-context sketch, where you wouldn't be switched to sketcher application?
Those things were tried and most people did not like them. It is expensive to keep stuff people won't use.
There's literally a thread on their forums that complains that these features were removed in exchange for nothing. That's why I'll never update it or even buy NX again@@ClassASurfacing
number one issue with nx in comparison with mcneal software is PERFORMANCE
That software is purpose built so it makes sense. But, give Siemens time, they are a fabulous company always making things better.

@@ClassASurfacing what do you mean ? nx was there before down of the time, it is a very powerful software indeed, but for example lets compare it with zwsoft, which is a corresponding alternative , a 30 gb software vs a 1.5 gb software, of curse nx wins in terms of tools and abilities but zw3d wins in terms of performance , you can definitely model any parametric thing you want in all of these software ...

As a new nx user I must to say very feature in nx is very complicated and unusable...despite of modern figuration of software, until simple and important parts of software as assembly constration and sketch 2d isnt comfortable...
In previous version of nx the sew command shows any angle deviation or gaps between surfaces but in new nx it sewed with angle deviation on surfaces.
The solid body bug seems to fixed in 2312 1700. The only advantage I can tell with this command compared to WAVE geometry linker is that you can copy to a part in a different session.
How did you snap it on a feature?
1. law : in catia you can create law with you finctions with lenght angles and other feauters. but not so userfrendly like nx 2. sew in sharp edge: im prefer control it but not use automatic. but in nx its real interested feature
The 3DX interface makes it better but NX is still the best
Why join curve got removed?
It's not gone it is Composite Curve now.
